Reflection on rough cut feedback

Overall our feedback was mainly positive, which gave us the impression that we are along the right lines with our ideas and the overall image of our video. We got lots of positive comments on our locations and permormers. This is a good builing block towards making a successful music video. Also our lip syncing had positive comments again showing the effort that was put in to the performance. We plan to work on the negative aspects of our feedback to improve our video such as the lack of variety of shots. Also the quality of lighting was mentioned although we would like to improve this we do not have the technology or time to work with this.

Rough Cut

Thursday, 11 October 2007

Shooting our video:
Over the weekend we borrowed a camera from the college to film some footage for a roughcut of our video. Our main location was a garage, this was to give us the college band look. We used a drum kit in the background of our singer and tried to vary our shots as much as possible, hopefully this will help to keep the audience interested. Also we filmed at another location, at a skate park in haverhill. We chose this location because we feel it fits in well with the genre of the muscic. We filmed shots of our singer along graffitied walls and also shots of people skate boarding at the skate park we feel this will entertain the audience and give our video a more unique look.
